Is there a freeware program for landscape layouts? Something similar to the
program for furniture arranging that was posted here some weeks ago. I just want
a simple program where shrubs, trees and flowers can be arranged on the screen and
rearranged for a view of them prior to planting. TIA

I need something like this also. However I need it to show me what the
landscape will look like after all the plants and scrubs die from
fungus, bugs, blight, drought, or whatever. That way I can get a
realistic arrangement.

Google for BrownThumb LandscapeCAD.

And I *am* kidding. If it were available, sadly I would need it as well!

You don't need the frewware: Just go outside and look at your yard now.

Try here....very bottom of the page...(Room Arranger) the link worked for me just
now...
however, the program has gone shareware....this one was free in January...
better hurry.... http://xtort.net/graphics/cad.php

Well yes, I can see the dead plants from my gardening efforts last
year. I'm interested in knowing how the garden will look after the
bushes, etc that I plant this year die.

Maybe I should just plant dead bushes now and skip the wait. It would
be cheaper.

pencil and paper's much faster. use a few erasable color pencils. "colerase" are most
common.
