Hi, using Access 2003 is there a way to dyamically list a query's columns
order?

The column property of a cross tab query can be used to specify the order in
which column headings are listed. However, I do not know at time of
development the specific values used as column headings.

Any ideas or suggestions appreciated. :-)

Many thanks,
Jonathan

Hi not sure if this is the way according to Hoyle but my solution was to
create another query that is used to transfer data to excel. Before running
the transfer I build a list of fields from the base crosstab query. I then
change the querydef.sql property to have the field list in the correct
sequence.

The transfer to excel then has the column sequence in the desired order.

Hope this helps someone...
