Hi, I plan to buy a notebook but unable to decide whether to go for
HP-Centrino 725 notebook [around 1200 Euro] or Dell P4 notebook [ 1600
Euro]. Please let me know the performance parameters of the two and
also technically which one would be betterat the above price.
Thanks

Why not go for a notebook with an Athlon 64 processor instead?
Why pay a high price for 32 bit technology when you can get 64
bit technology for around the same price? The Athlon 64 is great
at running 32 bit software, and will allow you to upgrade to 64
bit sofware when you are ready for it, and to run 64 bit software
side by side with 32 bit software when you use a 64 bit operating
system.

Alternatively, go for a PowerBook which doesn't even have Windows, is fully
64-bit compatible, and far more secure than any PC.

You gotta love Apple! ;o)

Does Apple make 64 bit notebooks, and if so, are they under $1200?
The Apple G5 computers are interesting. If only they were under $1,000
instead of being around $2,000 and up they would be interesting.
