How can you open an XL file in Quattro. I have Excel on
my laptop & Quattro on my desktop. I thought they were
compatible. Are they? Please help.

They should be, within reason. (Excel and QP aren't the same program
(obviously), so neither fully supports each and every piece of the
other's functionality.) But to open an Excel file in QP 10 (the
version that I have) all you need to do is select the File Open
toolbar item, change the File Type to Microsoft Excel, and open the
file the way you would in any other program. What's happening when you
try that?
