Quark to pdf to jpeg into PowerPoint

I am saving a Quark file as a pdf and then saving the pdf as jpegs to
be imported into PowerPoint as a photo album. Because the jpegs are too
large for PP, I have selected the "fit to slide" feature under Album
Layout. They now come in with a black frame on the left and right
sides. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?

I guess I've answered my own question...

Gluon's XPressImage 6 ($199) is an XTension for QuarkXPress 4.1, 5 or 6
that lets you convert a selection, page, spread, or document to more
than 20 file formats, including: EPS, TIFF, PICT, GIF, JPEG, PDF
picture, PNG, Scitex, Targa, BMP, fax and PCX, at any size and
resolution, with or without crop marks.

Yes it's been 3 weeks since you responded but I'm just looking at it. Thank
you for the link. I am not proficient in VBA but with these directions, one
of our techies should be able to help the department with this issue.
