So have people got Qualifications that they have never used or got but have never needed them?

I went through a period a few years of learning to drive different categories on my driving licence. Not needed working in IT:rolleyes:

Always good to have though Feckit!

Like im not even allowed to tow a trailer, or carry more than 8 passengers.

I have a certificate saying I'm qualified in basic food hygiene. Took a three month evening class course then passed the exam.

I've never used it but at the time I had an idea to open a Bistro locally. The certificate I have is the minimum required to legally open a food outlet.

Still might do that thing, I had this idea to open a fast food vegetarian outlet or maybe a sort of up-market veggie cafe playing some decent music.

Must admit though, running a food outlet is hard work, early start, on your feet all day and constant cleaning.

Ah, but do you use it?

I got that one as well, but I use it.

I got other stuff too, but I use them or have used them, so didn't mention them. :)

Chris:

You got a food hygiene certificate as well eh? How come you took that one then?

It was part of the GCSE (O level for you i guess) Food Tech course. Piece of pie wasnt it? Easiest test i have ever taken!

Conterbalance and Reach fork lift truck ...took and passed 3 years ago ...never sat on one since

NCA in Engineering.
Never touch kit i buy always let others whilst under warranty:thumb:
Oh and once did an advanced driving course on a skid pan:thumb:
PCV Licence, never driven a bus since the day i passed;)

I also have a certificate here for 'Chest examiner'

I'm not really sure what the certificate entitles me to practice but it does look very official and important.

Possibly antique wooden trunks or storage boxes?

I received it from a gentleman wearing a bowler hat and striped trousers on Brighton Pier one Sunday afternoon in 1998.

I had to pay him £10.00 but he assured me it was a sound investment.

I'd like to believe him :)

So if someone has a chest infection you are qualified to examine them

I'd like to think so :)

Attempting to use this qualification, sometimes I get a smile and a purr, other times I get a slap and a knee in the groin.

Quite odd

medical degree

Did a combat survival & navigation course a few years ago in the Brecon Beacons.
Do have a double first degree in medical studies from the university of new delhi, but i got that as a present a few years ago, only cost £20, never tried to use it though, but it looks good & framed as well;)
