I'm new here (and to ATI Radeon), so I apologize if this has been beaten
about before....

Some levels in Quake3 when rendered by the Radeon engine (e.g. bubctf1) have
a black wire box or cube in the sky. Coming from an Nvidia, this is the
first I've seen it and it seems to be a known problem....is there same way,
patch, hack to get around this? The level developer won't be updating this
level.

Thanks...didymus7

I have exactly the same problem in Q3 mod Urban Terror, i did not have this
problem using GF4, its not a big problem but it would be nice to have it
fixed. Another thing is FPS drop sometimes in UrbanTerror, it feels like the
card looses 3D accelleration 20-30 sec once every 10-20 minutes or so. I
know its a known problem but i did not have it before i got a 9800 Pro. I
havent noticed any FPS drops in other Q3 addons so i guess it is UrbanTerror
itself. I have another cooling system on my 9800 Pro so it runs very cool,
heat is not a problem.

I must say that textures looks mutch better using Radeon, my old GF4 is not
even close!
