I am dual booting Windows XP with Windows 2000 and I will have a new machine
soon.

On my new machine, is it possible to quadruple boot Windows XP, Windows XP
x64, Vista 32 and Vista 64 on 4 different partitions?

My installation sequence: Windows XP first, followed by Windows XP x64,
Vista 32 and finally Vista 64. Is that possible?

Drive C: Vista 64

Drive D: Vista 32

Drive E: Windows XP x64

Drive F: Windows XP (32-bit)

Thanks a million!!

I'd say yes, I'm triple booting between XP, V32 and V64. I looked at XP64,
but it didn't intereste me enough as well, but I just wasn't that interested

I'd bet you'd climb Mt. Everest, if you could figure out how to get yourself
away from your computer. Just because a thing can be done, doesn't mean it
should be, or that it's even a good thing. Pick an OS; get a life!

There are many reasons for wanting multiple OSes!

Jeez, you act like Quad booting is rocket science. But even if it was, I
guess it's totally acceptable for people to spend all weekend for several
months restoring some old classic car they like, Or spend all their free
time on the golf course, that's OK because they have a life. But let someone
spend a little time mastering a computer and they are losers who need a
life.

Yes- I have done it many times. Your install sequence is fine - oldest
OS to newest OS is best).
Use a program like VistaBootPro (it's free - use google to find the
download link) to easily clean up the boot entries the way you want
(instead of the bcdedit tool from MS).

Thanks for the replies and confirmation that this can be done. I have a
reason to do that... :P

Will try VistaBootPro. Thanks anyway!!! :)

How many pieces of shit do you need on your 'puter? Surely one is enough.
Mind you, the more you have the higher probability of getting some malware
installed, if that's your mission. <snort>

One doesn't "master a computer" when running a toy operating system like
Windoze. Get that straight. All one "masters" is gaining the ability to run
an assortment of wizards that clicks one through some sort of setup.

You're a funny fella

So Your preferred flavor of linux doesn't offer any form of a setup Wizard
or help during setup ? A person is just expected to know everything ? I
dont care that much for wizards, but maybe thaa's why Linix isn't adopted
more, if you make it only so a "Master" can install it. Afterall, we're not
born Masters, we're born students
