I cannot get win2k to recognise the drive at all. I'm
using an Acer travelmate 800. Have tried using an
identical drive from another user's machine, and searched
for a new driver on the manufacturers website. They (QSI)
claim that there is no need for them to provide a driver
as win2k should provide the correct driver. The properties
under device manager state that this is a Code 31, unable
to load drivers. Have uninstalled and reinstalled device,
even with the other working drive, to no avail. Could it
possibly be that the actual/physical connection is bad? If
so why does the system still recognise that the drive is
present?
Any feedback will be much appreciated.
