QMS Magicolor OPC Belt

I got a new OPC belt back in Febuary, I was a bit pissed off to find
the call for service warning in the window this morning. I have only
printed about 2000 sheets mostly B/W. I pulled out the belt and there
is a band running around 1 side where the photosensitive covering has
come off and the black indicators.
There is no way I am buying a new belt after 7 months light use, I had
nothing to lose so I got a can of Black Hammerite and painted the
black squares back on but it back in the printer and gave it a few
hours to dry. Switched the printer on this afternoon and much to my
suprise its working don't know how long for but I'll paint the markers
back on again when I need to
