My computer is showing all the symptoms of this virus (search engines will not load) but after downloading the latest definitions for NAV it did not detect anything. The hosts file was in c:\windows\help and contained all the info as per the instructions on how to delete it manually. I deleted this file in the hope this would fix the problem but to no avail. I checked the registry and some of the entries that I was told to delete were there, some were not. I did not delete anything out of this. The tools the Symantec site & Brown Univertisy site did not detect the virus either.

Can anyone plz help me?
Thanks, Jason

Jason,
Does a duplicate HOSTS file exist in the default location? (see below)

Look for an other copy of the HOSTS file on you computer just to make sure
that none exist.
