Hi

I am attempting to do qfe updates to TD SP1.
I am receiving an error when I attempt to run the update. Q811279 first. I
receive an error message that the repository files cannot be deleted, make
sure I have write access.

My NTFS permissions look fine. I have run attrib

I still get an error.

Anyone else run into this problem?

Thanks

I had this problem until someone clued me in that it is the permissions on
the *network share* that are blocking you -- not the permissions on the NTFS
directory (although those have to be correct also). Even with the database
on the same PC that you're developing on, it goes through the network
connection to get to the repository files.

AS in, right click on folder for properties and check "share this folder on
the network"?

Thanks Doug.

first.

Mark, Doug,

By default the access to Repository is set up through a network share. You
have to make sure you've got enough permissions to access the share. In
other words, if you want to update some repository files with CDM/Import,
you have to provide Write access to the share to the user account you are
logged in.

If you don't like this "network share thing" and work with the local
Repository anyway, you can switch to a local based path to Repostory roots.
(CDM, Repository page, Repository Roots/Change Location buttons).
