G'Day,

Env: Windows XP with all latest service packs

My task bar does not show any running applications. If I say start
notepad it runs up OK, but the icon does not appear in the taskbar.
Does anybody have something I can try to:

a) Fix this
b) Reset the taskbar

TIA

Click on Kelly's link below, choose "T". Lots of taskbar info.

.What ever application you want on your task bar you
need to select in that application that you want it to
startup when windows opens. OR (be very careful with
this) goto RUN type MSCONFIG enter and in that window
goto the STARTUP tab and select the programs you want to
open.(DONOT touch any of the other tabs)
PS... to many apps. in the task bar takes up your
virtual memory
Good luck
