Which version do you use?
Still no suggestions for a good NT forum. I guess I'm spoiled because so
much development is done in English first.
I stayed at 1.86.253. Yes, I was very disappointed. I don't particularly
need the advanced shareware features. The author has put a lot of effort in
it though, so I can understand his choice if donationware was insufficient.
Hmmm, $25 now. I thought it was only $20. Oh, well.
NT (last freeware version if still available) is worked quite well for me
except for this problem. I'm sure I contributed to it. Somewhere along the
way I installed a version in a second directory. I wish authors would
realize that not everyone wants to install in c:\programs files\that
program\.... If developers are going to use the registry and/or
automatically uninstall before installing, at least they could keep track of
where I installed the program.
Lavasoft is the most recent offender. Ad-aware very nicely uninstalled the
old version and then promptly tried to install to its default location.
