Q: Merging Photostory and Moviemaker files into one file.

Is it possible to combine/merge two "wmv" files with one of the files
produced by Photostory and the other produced by Moviemaker?

I would like to do a slide show of photos with Photostory and at the
end (or in the middle of the slide show), have the video file start up.
If this is possible, it would be terrific and I will feel almost like
Ken Burns.

If this is not possible, are there any programs that will allow this?

Try using Movie Maker to create / combine
your project. Movie maker can import video
and stills...Photo Story can only import stills.

Well doing it at the end is easy. Import the WMV file created by Photo Story
and drag it to the timeline and then drag the video file to the end. To put
it in the middle you simply need to clip the Photo Story 3 created video. If
you are trying to get them to both play at the same time then check out
Rehan's PIP effect to see if that is what you need.

Right in theory. My experience is that PS3 stories re-rendered with MM play
jerky on rapid and large pans and zooms (but maybe my computer lacks of
resources? XP SP2 - CPU 1.7Ghz - RAM 512 MB - HD 5400 rpm with not so much
space)?

Your right it does tend to do that when saving your final result as a WMV
except when using the High Quality NTSC setting, at least in my experience,
or saving as a DV-AVI. What you are describing is something I do all the
time because I like the effects and most definitely the control of PS3 much
better than WMM when working with still images.
