How can I connect a PC with Windows 2000 Sever OS to a
peer to peer network where I can share files and printers
on the network. The PC was not really set up as a server.
I have access to the internet through the network by
configuring the system to obtain IP adress automatically,
but can't really access to the network and share files and
printers.
Can anyone help me out and show me the configurations.

Thank you very much!!

Alvin

Just make the workgroup name the same on all computer, and make sure you
have a local account for all that needs to access resources.

I don't see the Identification Tag in the Network
properties window, can you be more specific where can i
enter the workgroup name in Win 2000 Sever.

Thanks again..

Alvin.

I believe all systems will have to have dirct connection
to the internet or you'll have to setup a VPN.

I believe it's in My Computer | Properties.| Network Identification.
