Q: How can I stop Outlook asking for id, pswd and server every morning?

System: Exchange 5.5 server on NT4 Server with all service packs
Workstations: Windows 2000 Pro to SP4 running Office 2000 to SP3

The problem I've got is that all of the builds in my office should be
identical, however some people don't have to enter their userid, email
server and password every morning like most of the office. I was
wondering why this should be the case?

I'm guessing this information is cached somewhere like a file or in
the system registry, unless there's a problem with the actual profile
that we're not aware of. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

Thanks in advance,

Bill

In outlook- tools/services/exchange
properties/advanced/log on network security.
does it say NT P/W Auth, or None?

sorry for delay, didn't see this reply at first.

the machines say "None", I've changed one to NT P/W Auth as a test and
although it didn't automatically go into outlook, it did seem to cache
the user id and the name of the exchange server.

Bill
