I know MS quit giveing access to Hotmail from OE a while ago but I had
downloaded a vb script from somewhere that when run let me access hotmail
the same as I used to. Well I can't locat that script any more but would
like to be able to access all my eMail accounts from Vista Mail. Anyone know
of a way to do this?

Regards,
Skon

use HotPop for hotmail only.
or
PopTray to do G,Y.and H mail

Hmmm.... You could install Microsoft Outlook, then purchase MSN
Premium from Microsoft (@$9.95/month), which will allow you to use
your Hotmail accounts in Outlook using the Outlook Connector.

But Microsoft no longer provides support for Hotmail in either Outlook
Express or Windows Mail.

That's odd? I still have access to Hotmail in OE on another system which I
just installed XP Pro on a week ago. Why would it work on OE under XP but
not on Vist's mail program?

Thanks! I will try one of those or go back to XP and Outlook Express.

So that you and I and all the rest of the users that subscribe to an email
account that is free must now look at advertising, either through Live
Desktop or IE7.

Because WM does not support HTTP mail. I think they want you to use Windows
Live Mail Desktop. (Yech)

I guess I'll just go back to XP and OE. I have to look at enuf advertizing
as it is. Pluss I can not find a way to get any antivirus program to work in
Vista at all. Even ones that claim they work fine with Vista. And from
looking at the fourms on the various manufacturers sites it seems that
1,000's of people are haveing the same problems. Just those two programs (OE
and any antivirus) not being able to work in Vista tells me it's way not
ready for relese. I guess I'll just wait untill they have there final relese
to manuf for retail etc.

Mine does as well, but only because we are longtime Hotmail users and have
been "grandfathered" in to be allowed to do so.

There are plenty of postrs on the web where people have been successful in
getting hotmail on their Vista installation, using Hotpops, or Windows Live
Desktop etc. etc. All it needs is some research using Google. (Or MSN
Search I suppose...LOL).
Regarding anti-virus I personally have used Trend Micro's PC-cillin security
suite 14, Avast Home Edition, and McAfee Viruscan 11 all work just fine.

See if my HotPop is the same of yours - http://www.spaceblue.com/hotpop/
I think not! :-)

Please, tell me the address of your HotPop!
