A couple of days ago I posted a couple of questions with this discussion
group (it think) I cannot seem to find the questions I asked or if there
were any replies - how is one notified when an answer is given to there
question. My email? Could someone advise please.

If you are using OE to post then why not just click in the eyeglasses
column. Or Message / Watch Conversation. This will make your posts turn red
and therefore easy to find.

Yes, since you are posting via the web interface, you will get notification
of replies to the email address you use for your "Windows Live" sign in
passport account. Notice the 'Notify me of replies' icon in the top bar of
the read message pane, and another checkbox for that when you post, at the
bottom. Any post you are reading will have the offer of notify.

There is also a Search bar, to find your old posts. Just enter the title, or
perhaps the name you use to post with.

You need to use a proper news reader like Outlook or Outlook express!.
You are using the built-in web user interface which you are sending your Q
from now.

Using Newsgroups: Which newsreader should I use?
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/guide/newsgroups.mspx

Outlook Express: E-mail and newsgroup reader
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/oe/default.mspx

This your last Pot/Thread

I really cannot get used to Office 2007, I just haven't got the time to hunt
and search for silly things I normally took for granted when I was using
Office 2000.

Could anyone tell me could I delete office 2007 from my computer and then
reinstall my Office 2000 disc without any hassels . I was kind of hoping
when i installed office 2007 recently I would be able to keep office 2000 as
well but office 2007 just complete overtook the 2000 version. So by deleting
2007 completely and then reinstalling office 2000 all seems feesable to me.
Could anyone confirm this in theory can be done successfully please

You might want to post your message to a newsgroup with "Office" in the
description. This is a .Net programming newsgroup.

That said, If I were you, I'd hold on to Office 2007 and get a book on how
to use it. Think about this: it's already a year old. You're probably going
to have to learn it eventually. Some day it won't work on whatever computer
you buy, and you'll be way behind the curve all by yourself, rather than
behind the curve with everyone else. :-)

Note: change the User ID to something nice like SillySquirrel or SillyMouse
or anything else other than this cake!.
Good luck.

First, note that this is not really a "discussion group." It's a
newsgroup. You are using the awful web interface to participate here,
and that's the reason you're having such problems; it's the slowest,
clunkiest, most error-prone method there is. Do yourself a favor and
switch to a newsreader, such as Outlook Express, which comes with
Windows. See

Click on this link. I think you'll find that the questions you posted recently
were to other newsgroups.

If you're not being notified by email when a response to your question is posted
then you will have to use the search feature if you insist on using the web
interface.

Good luck

Just out of curiosity, why aren't you taking your own advice?

I'm always asking myself the same, but my bandwidth doesn't allow me too :-).
Thanks anyway Nepatsfan.

You have a right not to like it, but when someone posts via the web
interface, they get the option to mark the answer as correct. This gets a
'no age off' set of answers that go back for years, instead of the 4 month
age off of 'unchecked' posts. It would still work with a newsreader answer,
but the 'credibility' of the answer goes up with successes credited to the
answerer, much like the MVP title, except that this is not in MS opinion,
but in peer group judgment. I was an MVP for awhile. I value this rating
more.
