What issues and workarounds do I need to be aware of in order to utilize
RIS, ADS, and possibly Altiris (own PXE) in the same environment? OR will
this even work? ADS and RIS for sure - cover the servers and clients.
Thanks.

Nevermind....

To avoid RIS and ADS conflicting on a network, you must configure both RIS
and ADS to answer the boot requests of only those devices that you want
managed by the respective server. This can be done by selecting the MAC
address of the desired computers or the SMBIOS GUID and adding it to a
record on the computer running the ADS or RIS service. ADS and RIS can be
configured to respond to all PXE booting in the same broadcast domain. If an
administrator configures both services to respond, PXE booting may receive
an ADS boot program instead of a RIS program, or vice versa.

There are no issues with ADS and RIS running on the same
server. I do that here. 1 consideration, if you are
planning on using the RIS server is install XP based
clients you will have to get an update from microsoft to
do so. Refer here to apply the patch:

Altiris should not cause any prombels either. Just make
sure your server has the latest service pack installed.

Good luck to you, theres alot of work ahead of you.

How can you run this on the same server???

ADS can only run on Windows 2003 Enterprise and above?

If by ADS you mean Active Directory Services, ADS can run on Windows 2003
Standard, Enterprise or Datacentre.

Thats Automated Deployment Services Simon.
