PV of Irregular Cash Flow Stream

Hi,

Does anyone know how to discount an irregular stream of
cash flows?
Example,
Over the next five years I expect to receive payments
which will be irregular in amount and I'd like to discount
them back to present value dollars using a predetermined
discount rate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try XNPV. You'd need the Analysis ToolPak loaded. Directions to do so may be
found in online help for the XNPV function.
 
That worked great. I had just written a custom function to
do PV calculations for individual values, which I then
added up. This is much better.
