it would greatly help if anyone out there could explain
how to put outlook express in your system tray (by the
clock). This would keep it open so i can tell right away
when i got mail, instead of actually having the window up.
Like something AVG would do, tell you that you have a
virus right when you get it. Except this would let you
know when you have mail without having up the outlook
window all day. If this is even possible i would greatly
appreciate any help. Thank You =)

For Outlook 2002, minimize to the system tray by using the registry editor.

Click Start - Run - and type in Regedit

Look for the following Registry Key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
\Software
\Microsoft
\Office
\10.0
\Outlook
\Preferences

Choose Edit - New - DWord Value
Change the name from New Value #1 to MinToTray

Double-click on the MinToTray and replace the Value Data from 0 to 1

0 - Disabled (use this if you ever want to go back to how things are now)
1- Enabled Outlook to go to the system tray.

Should reboot after exiting the registry.

Apologies - You wrote Outlook Express and I read Outlook.

Sorry for that.
