Hi, in regards to the Lacie 250gb external hard drive i have i have another question. I have, with obviously ease managed to store all my music, and play it from and copy etc... off the hard drive.

Now i want to basically store some of my DVD collection onto the hard drive, and be able to play it straight off the hard drive with no disc etc...

Anyone know how to go about this, my mate(s) reckon you cant due to something with decoding/;encoding or something>

Cheers :thumb:

You wouldn't get many of your dvd collection on the hard drive as the space would be eaten up very quickly and 250gb would dissapear like a shot, thats the whole point in having a dvd disc to hold all the information...

If you really wanted to archive all the dvd's in your collection then i suggest you buy another Four 250gb hard drives and that should see you alright..:D

what do you want it as ? an mpeg, avi etc or in .bup and .ifo ?
