Putting an email address on a message

When I try and type a new message and hit the 'to' box
for contacts email addresses the following error message
continues to come up "Can't contact LDAP Directory server
(81)". It does this a number of times before I can get
into the address book. Does anyone have any ideas???

What version of Outlook?

Go to Tooks | E-mail Accounts | View or Change Directories and see if
there are any LDAP directories listed there. If so, and you don't recognize/need
them, remove them.
