I am trying to put my Access database on a sever that all
of the people in my office have access to so that we can
all enter data.

I copied the database from my c drive to our l drive. It
works fine for one day but the next day I am locked out
and get a message that says the database is corrupted and
offer to repair it. Then it says that it cannot be
repaired and that I exited too quicly while another
database was open. Does anyone know what is going on
here? I am getting verfy frustrated!!

My thanks to anyone who has any suggestions.

Betty

If you're doing anything that others have to enter into at
the same time, you do have to split.

I have a DB that is only to keep all the files of
everyone. We 2 other girls working with this. So once it
was set up, I split my data base and put the one that
holds only the Tables with the info on the server. The
other part where you have your queries, forms etc. is
copied (not a shortcut) onto the person's computer and
there you link the Table to the Data on the server.

May sound complicated but really it's not. Do a dry run
first.

Hope this helps!
