Putting a lot of text in a cell problem

Hi,

I have some cells that need to hold a lot of text (like 20-30 lines). If I
have only a few lines, the text wraps properly, but when I have a lot of
lines, the text does not wrap anymore. Is there something I need to do?

If there is no solution, I might need to move to Word.

BTW, I'm using Excel 2003.

Thanks.

Hello! A single cell will only display 1024 characters. The text stops
wrapping around that point, so quite likely you are exceeding that
limitation. The only way around it in Excel is to break up your text and put
it in separate cells (maybe one block of text above the other). If this
isn't possible, then, as you say... Word.

If you manually enter (force) a line break, <Alt> <Enter> after every 1,000
characters or so, you can increase the capacity of the cell.

The capacity of a *line* in a cell is 1024, (maximum formula size), so just
use more lines to enable more characters to be displayed.

You could try putting it into a text box drawn on the spreadsheet.

Select "Textbox" from the 'Drawing' toolbar
