What is interesting is that my other sister had a newspaper article, I remote assisted into her computer to scan it and a right click found Microsoft Office Imaging, I used it to OCR and then discovered that Office was an expired evaluation edition (according to the dialog). But that the imaging kept working after office had expired.
There may be a lesson here for those who want a free OCR.
