put icons on desktop?

I cannot find IE in my list of programs nor can I find the caculator to put on my start menu?

any suggestions as to where to find either listed to drag to desktop?

Hi Joe,

Right-click the desktop, choose properties. On the desktop tab, click
customize. You can enable the IE icon for appearing here.

For the Calculator, open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\system32, find
calc.exe and right-click it and choose send to-->desktop (create shortcut).
Then drag the shortcut onto the start button and the menu should pop up.
Continue to drag it to "All Programs" and drop it wherever you like.
