Every once in awhile you need to cancel mult-paged jobs. It doesn't work
every time. I do not know what the condition that causes this but the only
way to get things to purge is to turn off the darn printer and pc, wiat a few
minutes and turn it all back on. Is there anyway to manually dlete things in
the queue? This is a great weaste of time.
I've seen it happen on different computers and printers in different
locations. All on windows. Currently occurs on Winxp. Why can't we find
stuff in the buffer and dlete it?

You must cancel print jobs if You make mistake and only printer off x times
(x=number of pages) for empting spooler. Spooler need a long time fort
empting itself

Some printers have a control panel that will allow you to pause the job at
the printer, and clear the internal printer buffer. At this point, you may
also be able to also flush the printer spool buffer. I'd suspect that the
problem really occurs due to the way the particular printer drive was
written, and what features were and were not implemented.

One of my printers requires that you first pause the spooler/driver, then
flush or reset the printer. Next, the spool file is deleted. Another of my
printers will print the current block of data, then respond to the delete
job command, and then the spooled file is deleted as you would expect. Both
are printing jobs from the same PC, however one is connected to a USB port
on the PC, and the other via a wireless print server.
