Purging Emails

I use an IMAP email account on Outlook 2002. I liked in
outlook express how it automatically deletes all purged
messages within a folder upon closing that folder. I have
looked all over, how can I do this?

Outlook does not automatically purge your deleted items. You need to do it
manually.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
