purge ink on a Brother?

Anyone know how to purge the ink on a Brother (4020 or equivalent)? I have
air bubbles in the pipes to the printhead.

I'm not sure how you know there are bubbles. When one color on my Brother died
a local shop insisted that the print head needed to be replaced. The charge was
more than I paid for the whole printer. So of course I scrapped it and will
never buy another Brother or any printer with the print head so expensive to
replace.
