From time to time my quotes, question marks, slashes turn into single
quotes like so: " (that is supposed to be AT)

Any ideasÉ (that is supposed to be a question mark..)

It does not seem to be app specific, sometimes it is isolated to IE or
Firefox or Notepad but nothing consistent.

Do you have the wrong country keyboard setup ?

I thought of that too but it is set to English Canada (US).

I have my keyboard set the same way English Canada (US). Yesterday, the
keyboard went screwy and some of the punctuation keys were off. A reboot
fixed it. First and only time it happened here so far.

P.S. You are not using a KVM switch are you?

Well .. mine saves more time than it looses. Sorry, I can't comment on
system availability and KVM switches.

Did this happen with your "stabler" Vista OS? That's *never* happened
with XP.

I have rebooted a lot - same thing each time.

Just an idea: Have you tried switching to the US keyboard? Its layout is
essentially the same one.

No, but I will give that a run now.
