Here's a thing.

I have got hold of the new microsoft bluetooth keyboard
and mouse combo. Now I can get the mouse to work no
problem, but when I come to the keyboard I get a
different story. I install the drivers and restart the
box. then I get to the connection screen and I put in
the batteries (brand new) and click the button under the
keyboard and then click next and it comes up saying that
it has found the keyboard, all I have to do is type in
the passkey and click next. now the problem is, is that
I cannot type in the passkey the keyboard doesn't have
any of it. it says at the bottom "if you cannot type
then click search again" which I have done many many
times before. I have tried installing the keyboard and
mouse in different ways but still nothing. when it is
connecting I can see in device manager that it find the
keyboard but it is having none of it.

I hope someone can help out there, please

I had the same problem until I used the Bluetooth keyboard to typw the numbers and hit enter. Then it worked. Hopefully yours will too.
