I don't know if this is the time or place to ask this but
does anyone know if FP2003 will handle the laborious
publishing thing a little better than previous versions :-
)
Also, I've noticed that "Publish" has disappeared from
the menus in FP2003. What's the new drill.

Thanks
Mart

1) Yes
2) File Publish Site

FP 2003 is certainly nicer and I would say it is less laborious. The publish
is now File >> Publish Site, which makes a bit more sense. There is still a
possibility that older extension sites will have some issues, as FP 2003
gets rid of extensions, although it can use FP 2002 extensions for those
still on extensions.

Do I understand correctly that 2003 does not
need extensions on the server, for forms
and hit counters etc, to work??

No, you will still need extensions for them to work. FP2002 or FP2000.

There will be no further extensions developed. the push is on Sharepoint.
But, the features still require the extensions (or sharepoint).
