Hello, I'm using Vista Home Premium Windows Movie Maker...
I love this program and I've been using it to make some cool videos but
recently I made a video and when I click on Publish To.. Computer it says
cannot publish movie please make sure you have hard drive space and all your
source files are there... I've done all of this and tried everything I
can... It won't let me publish to the computer, a dvd, e-mail, or anything....

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Exactly same problem here ... would prefer some concrete suggestions ... I
am running XP and none of MM's suggestions make sense (I have plenty of disk
space, cpu power, the files are all there etc).

Tried exactly the same thing on my Sony vista laptop and it worked fine.

The issue is more than likely due
to compatibility issues with some
of your source files.

Sorry that it does not make sense.
Suggesting that you use compatible
file formats seems pretty concrete to
me.

And...it's always best if you begin a
new thread when you have a question
so you can post an exact description.
Just saying..."Exactly same problem
here" is not very useful to those of us
who volunteer to assist you.

Hi,

I had exactly the same problem. The solution was to run Movie Maker with
admin rights. Afterwards I could publish everything. Running MM without admin
rights reproduces the error. If that is the real cause it would be a real
joke ...
