Publishing problem-Help

I just added a discussion web to my existing site and
when I try to publish the files I get the error message:
Please enter a destination web that is different than the
current open web http://www.mysite.com.
My server is running FP2002 SE and I am using FP2002.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help
 
You need to publish it as a subweb, if your host allows subwebs.

http://www.mysite.com/subwebname

If you are working in your online web (http://www.mysite.com) you don't need to publish

Agree you should always create a DW in a subweb
