I've been having some really strange problems..........and I think my
question becomes, where do I really, really publish to. mywebsite.com or
mywebsite.com/public_html? Whenever I publish to the web site directly, it
deletes my email accounts, and does not complete the publishing function.
When I publish to the public_html everything seems OK, but I don't know if
there's a problem lurking with using Front Page.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as I've struggled with this problem for
3 months now........

If your domain is registered with the domain name servers,
in other words if clicking www.yourwebsite.com will open the site,
and your server / account has FrontPage extensions installed
then you publish to: http://yourwebsite.com

The only time you need to publish to the public_html destination
is when you're publishing to the numerical IP address for a newly opened
account
that has not propagated throughout the name servers.

You really need to check with your host for the actual URL to publish to
which can be different when uploading via FTP vs. publishing via FP when the
site has the FP extensions.
