Bravenet supposedly has Front Page extensions.
I went to my site managing place at bravenet and enabled front page
extensions.
They said since they have extensions I should not use the FTP, but publish
through Front page directly to the site.
I have tried to do that several times, but have not had success.
My front page says "Looking for website...."
at the bottom it says "resolving publish destination on server..."
Any ideas on what is going on?
Bravenet does not have any tech people that will get on the phone and help
you...
They only e-mail and I haven't gotten any real help that way.

I checked your domain and the extensions are installed.

With your web open in FrontPage, click File > Publish web ( Publish Site in
FP 2003 )
A dialog will open asking what "type" of site you're publishing to.

Make sure: FrontPage extensions or Sharpoint Extensions is checked and then
for the location enter:
http://trinketpapillons.com/

or

http://www.trinketpapillons.com

Andrew,
Thank you for the flash movie demo. It said something about not trying to
publish through the FTTP if the site has extensions as it may corrupt them.
Now I am wondering if that is what happened.
Bravenet said it would take 24-36 hours to have the site become available.
I am wondering if when I first tried it, the site was not available yet.
Then I became impatient and thought, I'll just do it the old way through the
FTTP.
Unfortunately I may have inadvertently corrupted it.
I will contact Bravenet to see if they will check that out for me.

Thanks Steve,
I have done all of the things you suggested.
One thing that is not happening is the box is not popping up for me to type
my user name and password in. Is that supposed to be happening before or
after the connection is made to the new website?
I am not checking the box that says an encrypted connection is required
(SSL) -
Should I be checking that?
Any other ideas?

You should see that after you enter the location and click OK.

No

Open FrontPage, click file open web, and enter:
http://www.trinketpapillons.com
or
http://trinketpapillons.com

You should be prompted for the user name and password, and when entered the
remote site should open.

file:///C:/Documents and Settings/Owner/My Documents/My Web
Sites/mysite/index.htm

My website on my computer is in the above location.
Do I need to rename it to http://trinketpapillons.com before publishing it
to that address?

You website on your computer would be:
file:///C:/Documents and Settings/Owner/My Documents/My WebSites/mysite

Where mysite can be ANYTHING...Fred, Wilma, Barney whatever you want to call
it, but you will Publish to what Steve said.

That's normal for a disk based web.

You publish file:///C:/Documents and Settings/Owner/My Documents/My Web
Sites/mysite/index.htm

To: http://trinketpapillons.com

Thanks Steve and Rob for your help. I think I have finally got Bravenet to
respond to my problems... They checked out my site as well and feel that it
should be working properly.
I downloaded the FrontPage 03 program to a CD and installed it on my
computer. I just used the standard installation. Could I possibly not have
downloaded everything necessary or perhaps in the process my computers
program became corrupted? I can download another copy from the website I
bought the program from. If I do that and reload it onto my computer telling
it to replace all like files, will I have to rebuild my website, or should
that be saved?
It might be worth trying that just to see...
What do you think?

Where did you download FP 2003 from?

I didn't think you could buy FP by download.

I am sorry, I got the address wrong.
I purchased the copy of FrontPage 2003 from Soft4Download.com

When I tried to get to that website, I couldn't so I did a google search on
it and found several forums where they were advising this site is probably a
scam since microsoft doesn't just sell that stuff for downloads.
Now I think I may have gotten ripped off and might have been sold a demo
model of Frontpage that works on your computer but can't be used to upload
anything to the web.
I think I should just try to get my money back if I can find them, or kiss
my money goodbye and go to the store and fork over the money for a legit CD.

I turned off my Front Page extensions and will just build the site with
bravenet's web building tools. I really do like Front Page so I will
eventually purchase it again from a microsoft approved site, or store.
