I'm using FP02...

I just created a discussion board as a subweb and
published for the first time. First I published the
subweb on it's own, then I published my entire web and I
checked the box for include subwebs and chose publish all
files, not just the changes. At the end of it publishing
I got an error dialog box that said "Server error: The
server extensions were unable to access the file
frontpg.lck. Please check the file permissions." I do
not even know what this file is, but I am guessing that it
effects the publishing of the subweb, b/c when I view my
site online and click the link I made to the subweb, it
says the page cannot be found. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Have your host delete the file frontpg.lck

The recommended process is to create a DW is as subweb
(so publishing the root web does not affect the dynamic content of the DW)
But Some hosts do not support subwebs
- contact them and verify they support subwebs
