It’s my first time making a movie – actually the project is finished … but I
can’t figure out how to burn it on a DVD (I have DVD+R and DVD+RW available)
or publish it on my notebook. The project has 2,850 MB. (8 mp3, around 300
jpg, 13 png, 2 mpg … all together around 300 MB).
I tried as follows:
1. I clicked ‚publish on PC‘: a wmv data was created - when opening it, it
shows only the first picture (= png + mp3)
2. I clicked ‚publish on DVD‘: windows dvd maker pops up - error message …
dvd maker does not work anymore
3. I clicked ‚publish by e-mail‘: error message …. windows movie maker does
not work anymore
What I am doing wrong? Could you help me?
Thank you.

Anyway.
Source files will be your biggest problem, I should imagine.

I'd start by removing the mp3 music and swap it for wav.
http://www.myvideoproblems.com/Tutorials/Convert_mp3_To_WAV.html

Then try again.

If that doesn't work, I'd then make the project much smaller, amybe around
50 pics at a time. Once you've saved these small projects you can stitch
them together in a new one.

If that doesn't work, then you'll need to covert the mpgs to wmv
http://www.myvideoproblems.com/Tutorials/ConvertMpeg2wmv.html

and the stills to a bitmap form.

Also, Photostory is really MS's slideshow app, MM is more designed for
working with video. Though you'd still be constrained somewhat by the file
formats you are using.

A lot of work this time, but bear this in mind for future work an all should
run much more smoothly.
