publishing a film

I edited a film and now I want to publish it
but my computer only want's to take the dvd-disk as source
even if I copy it to my desktop
it still uses the E:
how can I change this settings?
because if I take the source DVD out, al the edited material goes blank

Hi Ben
You were on the right track by copying it to your hard drive but you didn't
tell Movie Maker that you did that.
With the files on your hard drive remove the source DVD. When you load the
project your clips will have been replaced by red X's. Right click on one of
them and click "Browse for Missing File" navigate to where you put them on
your hard drive and select it. Now the others should be found automatically.
