Publish to Word Problem.

Me again!!

Report is working fine now. Fields are single row height but Can Grow is set
to Yes but 'Publishing to Word' the field text is truncated.

Can anyone tell me how to resolve please?

This is a common problem with "publishing to Word" (really to RTF)
from Access. There is no 100% reliable fix, or at least none without
significant side-effects. It appears that the logic which determines
the (effectively fixed) field size in the output document sometimes
doesn't take proper account of the character spacing of the font being
used, and doesn't leave enough room for all the characters in the
output string. If you really want 100% control of your format and
editable output, you may need to look into using Word Automation from
Access.

The post by TGates in the following link worked for me though I accept it
probably isn't 100%.

In case the link is down the relevant bit is as follows:

"I've had the same problem with truncation and found that setting the
right margin of the text box control to something > 0" (maybe .25")
will fix it."

Though I used 0.30 as 0.25 did not work in my case. So far so good. Also
just realised that my defaults are cm not inches as the post seems to infer.

This will work for (relatively) short strings. I believe that it may
be difficult to find the right setting if you are dealing with memo
fields with blocks of text of widely varying size in them.
