That was added by some other program you installed.

No, it was an option in the Task Pane in XP, and sites sometimes had addons
that allowed you to use it. I used it with VillagePhotos, Flickr and MSN
Groups.

I think the online print wizard, in Vista, has a similar function, but even
less sites know about that.

Many HTML editors add that function, but I don't believe it has ever been a
Windows feature.

You are thinking of something else. In XP, you can select graphic files, or
other types, and the Task Pane will include an option to Publish to
Internet.

Not here it doesn't. It's been added to the context menu
by a third-party app, the functionality is NOT included with
the OS.

In my case, I have AutoCad installed, and I get a "Publish
DWF" and "Publish DWF and Email" choice.

It's always been there. It is part of XP, but sites have to provide the
file to include themselves as publishing sites. Maybe you are not looking
in the right area:

That is something different to what I am talking about.

It may be easier to just use an FTP program to upload the files.
It works better for me than the publish to web function in my HTML editor.

Hmm, OK. So you must have turn on some services
to see this - kinda like what Front Page does if you let
it.

thanks for clearing this up.
