Locally FP98 requires a web server and the FP extensions to function
properly.

Also any time you reinstall FP, you have to do a complete publish again, and
when publish to via FTP, FP98 does not have a means of comparing files on
the remote server, if I recall correctly.

Hi,

I have a problem publishing, I have uploaded my webiste but can not
pusblish changed pages only. It wants to upload the entire website
again. I used to have the extensions but my isp discontinued them. I am
using Frontpage98 and have recently re-installed with out the
extensions.
Thanks
JC

Yes, I have done a complete re-install and uploaded the complete
web, I have the webserver running. I have in the past been able to
upload with Frontpage but needed a FTP program to delete files. I was
also able to publish changed pages only ( this was 2yrs ago) Any
idea's?

If your host no longer offers FP extensions, you can't do a http publish,
which is necessary to use the "changed pages only" feature.
Tom,

Ok..thanks for quick response and help.

You may want to re-consider - the upgrade is so very $cheap$ and this site
has free 30 day trials with Front Page extension;
http://www.tophost.com/ No one uses Front Page with a host that does not
have the extensions.
