I have a PowerPoint presentation that is pretty
large 17.8MB and I cant send it out e-mail because it is
to large. It also seems that when I send other powerpoint
presentations via e-mail they wont open on other peopls
computers.
I need to publish my Powerpoint to a personal web
sight. Please Help, I do have WS-FTP if I need that.

Thank you

I'd start here:

Why are my PowerPoint files so big? What can I do about it?

If you simply want to put the PPT up on the web where people can download it,
you'd use WS-FTP to upload it (in *binary* mode) to wherever you upload your
regular web page files.

First, there is a little-known trick to reducing the size of a PPT file. Open your file and choose File - SaveAs. Save it with a slightly different filename in the same folder (or another folder). I have seen files of 5MB reduced to about 600K with no loss! If Email is your goal, this might suffice.

If you do want to publish to a website, just use the Save As Webpage function in PPT. It makes a lot of files, but you can just post the whole thing to your website and it works like a charm. It is fairly extensible also, so window sized can be adjusted as needed - especially if you use a frameset or I-frame to show it in

Sometimes true, but if this works for you fairly often, it probably
means that you've got Fast Saves enabled. Or BILL's got it enabled by
default. YOU need to turn it off. <g>

Tools, Options, Save Tab, remove the check next to fast saves enabled.

That will keep PPT from self-embloating its files.
