Hello,

2003 says it can publish your calendar free/busy shedule to a web site
etc.
Does this feature actually exist/work?
The help file says:

Manually
" Manually from Calendar view

On the Tools menu, point to Send/Receive, and then click Free/Busy
Information."

There is no such option under the tools menu.

In addtion, I have telneted to my web server and find no files in the
directory I specified, nor have I been prompted for a password. The
built in office help is not much help if features don't really
exist/work.

Thanks, Fletch

Tools>Options>Calendar Options>Free/Busy Options> and set "Publish at my
location:" to your specified directory and filename, something like:

http://username:[email protected]/freebusy/kasey.vfb

Now, the data will not be published until you manually trigger a sync
"Tools>Send/Receive>Free/Busy information" or you make a change to your
calendar.

The feature is unchanged from Outlook XP, except for a few bug fixes.

Thanks for the help. Yesterday I was trying it on my laptop, today my
machine at work. The machine at work does have the option which I
tried but it's getting an access error. Do you know if this feature is
compatible with apache web servers?
Thanks for the login tip as well..

regards, Fletch

It should be, as long as the username password syntax is the same. If you
can save a Word document using the path, then the free/busy feature should
work the same. You might try a local share first, like your c:\ drive.
Make sure it publishes there. Then add a public share to your webserver,
and make sure it publishes there. Then try using your credentials.
