Public Folders/Sub Folders

I have a Folder under public folders with many
subfolders. I would like for the folder to darken when
something is put into one of the subfolders, does anyone
know how to do that?
 
What you might do is put the subfolders in your Public Folder\Favorites list so that they show the number of new items.
