Public Folder Meeting

We are using Exchange 5.5 SP4 and Outlook XP. We have a bunch of Calendars
setup in the Public Folders for everyone's use. When someone wants to
schedule a meeting on their personal calendar, and also have it listed in the
PF, they start the meeting setup, click on the Scheduling tab, and then when
they click the "Add Others" at the bottom, the Add Public Folder option is
greyed out. Is this not the way to do this? Why is it greyed out? Is the
only way to do this to add that PF in your personal address book or something?
 
Yes, you need to invite the public folder to the meeting. Add Public Folder
is an option only for setting up a group calendar.
 
I think I might have confused you.... The user opens a new meeting on her
own calendar in Outlook, not the PF's calendar. So, she does that, clicks
Scheduling, then Add Others at the bottom left, and the Add Public Folder
option is greyed out. I guess first off, what is that option exactly for??
Then, what are the steps to create the meeting on her calendar, but to also
add it to the PF calendar if that option above is greyed out? Is there
something I need to setup on the Exchange server or anything?
 
Your post was perfectly clear. As I said, the Add Public Folder command is
available only in group schedules, not meeting requests. You already implied
in your original message that you know what the solution is -- using the
public folder's address to invite the folder to the meeting just as you
would invite a user.
