Public folder mails, everyone gets it

I have set up a public folder and used a distribution list to set up
permissions.
The problem is that everyone on the list receives the mail as well at it
going into the public folder.

What I want is for everyone to be able to access the public folder but not
to receive the individual mails which are bunging up the system.

All depends on how you address the email. If you mail enable the Public
Folder and use that (unique) address then the mail will only be received in
the Public Folder. Don't address the mail with the distribution list or
security group you used to set permissions on the folder.

This definately looks like the solution. Thank you.
Am I able to change the name of the associated distribution list and how
would I go about it.
Alternatively how to I get rid of the existing dist. list and set up a new
one.

I think I may have resolved this now.
Have to wait a couple of days to find out.

Thanks for your help.
