Is there anyway to notify by email a user when a meeting is scheduled on
public folder calender

This would need to be on done on the Exchange side. The Public Folder would
need to mail enabled and then you can setup the send to functions. Right
click on the folder and go to task. There may be more to this but this is
as far as I know that needs to be done.

Regards

There is quite a bit more to it. You would right-click on the folder, choose Properties, and then go the Administration tab and click Folder Assistant. FA is similar to the Rules Wizard. A rule can be set up that forwards any new item to whoever you want to receive it.

Where is the setting for the enable mail on the folder, I have searched
around and cannot find it.

Thanks

It's done on the Exchange server - the administrator needs to do it.
